Family!
I decided this week I'll just describe to you my saturday because it was a good one. and it was a pretty classic missionary day :) so we got up and did some studies! then we picked up this super cute member thalia to go meet this awesome investigator and teach her with us her name is naila, naila told us shes lost when it comes to religions and she wants to know the way of life of mormons so we're like well bring thalia! it was perfect! then we get there and she was sick ;( appt fell through.. happens prolly everyday but it was sad cause it was so perfectly set up! so then we were trying to decide what to do and we had to take thalia home so we try to go see this less active girl over there with her and we meet this super cool guy one of thalias frinds eddy! it was great! gave him a book of mormon and were coming back! then we saw this girl we had met before and called her up and she was like 'yacome teach me!' so we took thalia again! and she was like so excited and wanted to come to church but doesnt have a car (story of my life!) but some great new investigators and we needed some new ones!
Then we decided we didnt want to go all the way home to our house so we bought some lunch and did some language study where we read out loud in french and impersonated what our investigators would say to what we were reading. role plays i guess youd say :) but it was really entertaining!!!!! haha
then we went to Ducos and did some great porte a porte or door to door in an area that a bunch of other missionaries had already been to and got yelled at by a couple confused people. that was sad.
then our mission president asked us to serve our members so we went to this recent convert, well its been like 8 months now but we went to her house and helped her make some carrot bowles out of construction paper for her kids at school. SERVICE!! shared mosiah 2; 17 with her and she loved it!! she said 'oh the spirit told you to come here i needed your help this would have taken forever!!' she says she feels the spirit when she serves. i love soeur hospice :) then we asked her to serve us and the lord by coming teaching with us and she hopped in our car with us and we saw a cuople people and some rendezvous fell through and som didnt and it was good :)
then we come to the dreaded 8 o clock your appt falls through hour and its like WHAT DO WE DO!! so we deicded to go to the bourg in Ducos which is where the catholic church is in every city in martinique and theres like a little square and we saw a cute like family and we went out and talked to them, asked them where the internet shop is and it turns out this cute 26 year old knows a member and shes haitian and the church is like BOOMING in haiti!! and it was just a miracle!!!!
thats about literally everything i did that day.
and it was wonderful!!! so not all days are that AWESOME!! but that day was :) ive just learned that the lord provides!!! hes got a better plan and he knows so well our hearts and our desires and he gives us what we want and need! like i really wanted to see naila with thalia but then we got some new amis that we desperately needed! that was awesome! he knows better than me :)
so it was a good week! i loved it! the church is true! i got my new scritpures and i cant decide how to mark them! any suggestions? ive been praying and pondering about it for a while now!! haaha oh ya and we went to the turners for munch sunday that was way yes and yes momy i love my zone i love martinique! the turners tried to trick me and tell me i was leaving and i almost started crying!! haha it wasnt funny!
this week was good! love you all!
