Sin/weakness, Bryce/Prince, Martinique/Guyane

WOOOOOW!  what an insane week in the life of me right now! holy cow!!

so monday and tuesday was my last days in martinique. WOW. i don't really know how to describe those i wasnt very focused and i think all the missionaries hated me on the island by the end! i was with some of the same elders as last year on april fools so i april fooled them again/ anyways martinique was just a little done with me! but tuesday we went and met with members and stuff and it was just sad! my soeur hospice, she was baptized the week before i got here and i just was able to train her and see her testimony blossom the whole first 9 months of her life as a member and she was working with us and sharing her testimony and poor girl huged me 3 times and bisoued me 6 times and cried when i left! she is so precious. that is someone that i will ever forget. that is someone truly converted to christ! and then my beautiful member friend soeur occolier who said she is coming to my wedding we went and taught her sister in law (shared the awesome dance talk) then hugged goodbye. she called me early in the morning to say bye. :) i love her! martinique. has my heart i tell you! so much work, tears, and love going into that place. so yes the expensive and nice flight to guyane was tear filled (an elder as in front of me, awkward, i dont think he heard) but i was truly sad! that was my family home and heart! thats the best part about this gospel. its the same everywhere and you can form freinships and loveships(does that work) nywhere throught christ! I LOVE MARTINIQUE!!

but then the best part about the mission is you never have time to do nothing or be sad! met some cool people in the airport as usual and then got my comp! soeur vance! shes amzing let me tell you! its her last transfer so she just like knows everything and has this area down and its the best! man i am so grateful for her and her hard work! i love her! so like guyane is a lot different than martinique and im still trying to figure out my role here in the branch but so far i think my role is just to baptize! so this branch let me try and describe it to you. so we have soccer wednsesdays and volleyball fridays and everybody brings their friends!! and everyone is basically portaguese! brazil is right there! everyone is loud and loving and so friendly and just it feels like my home ward! but a little smaller! this is the first branch ive been in where im not on top of a bank or a garage to go to church, THERES ACTUALLY A BUILDING! WITH A VOLLEYBALL COURT! so i love it. so much! these people are amazin and loving and i love being a missionary wherever i am, on an island or in south ameria. we have a huge we call it a cat cat or 4 4 or truck!!! so we drive that baby around! we dont live in our area we have to drive in it and justlike before my area is huge so we do a lot of driving but it is so fun!! i dont even know im still getting used to it and i definitely am not fully used to it yet haha but i love it ; theres so many youth and the branch is just so tight and theres this girl here exactly like tauna so thats really fun :)

some highlights of being here, even been able to teach a lot of members friends and thats fun for me! we met this kid and i thought his name was bryce but it was actaully prince! haha they call him princetafaria! like rastafaria! i may not be on an island but its still pretty carribean like haha im just still trying to get my barrings here. haha but we have a hammock :) and slowly ive been putting my touch on the new house. wow! i cant believe im no longer in martinique!

so something that really touched me this week was an article in the ensign about the difference between sin and weakness. sometimes i just like get down on myself because im not perfect and think i need to repent and stuff but this article explains!!! that actually through christ i can overcome my weaknesses! Jesus had weaknesses too! He was succeptable to sin! wow tres sent me this article and we must be on the same wavelength or something because that article just really touched me.

so i try and follow the spirit. thats the best thing i can do everyday! im obedient so that ill have the spirit! i love the gospel still! i love the people! they are so loving and fun. my favorite investigator so far is this guy we JUST started teaching who has been coming to church and just got married. his wife is a member :) his name is rafael hes awesome! imma keep you posted about him! i love my brazilian loving and crazy branch!

Love,
Soeur Tenney
