Calling everyone to Repentance

People! the south of martinique is just full of love!!! in so many ways!!

first of all you got me who loves all these people so much she is really bold and calling everyone to repentance! i do it out of love people!! and you got my awesome companion who is so charitable!! so grateful for her! and we are just here trying to build the kingdom!!

then... you got our awesome new investigators nicolas!! he came to church last week with this sweet 21 year old member thalia and so we asked if we could teach him and he was pumped!! so we went and taught him and thalias house and it was so wonderful!! they are like falling in love through the gospel!!! its amazing! church like answered some of his questions and hes reading the book of mormon!! real growth! this is just the start of a much needed family in martnique :) im so happy!!

also, you got rose!! her mom actually just died so shes in france for 10 days but shes going to church there! but anyways she introduced us to her friend hector so we went and taught him one day when she was gone and asked them how they knew each other, rose is 65 and hes 79 by the way. anyways they met on the phone he called her for work and said he wanted to meet her because he liked her voice! then he met her and theyve been going out dancing and been friends ever since!! that was about 15 years ago! anyways,,,,,, its just an island full of love here! hes a little hesitant to be baptized and wants to wait for rose to get back to go to church but hes reading the book of mormon!!

also, theres this guy in the mission presidency his name is president eclar and he is wonderful!! he lives on gaudeloupe but he came to church in martinique and had a fireside. oh man, i tell you. it was wonderful. this work is ALL BASED ON FAITH!! we cant limit God!! if we need more Priesthood we gotta pray for it and find people that will fill callings!! man! it was just so wonderful because thats what me and soeur riley do all the time. we meet an older guy and we tell him, 'hey youd be a g reat leader in the church' then we teach em! or we find a youth and telll them the Lord needs them to serve a mission! its so fun!! anyways so president eclar told us to get some youth because theres not many in our branch and we had just found this super sweet guy nicolas and so us and soeur occolier went to teach him right after this awesome fireside! it was so awesome!!

also, ive been on the hunt for families, and this sweet family from vauclin came to church!! he sang in the choir at his church so they werent there for the frist hour but they came for the second and third and it was so fun walking in with that family!! it was alain and evelyne and their 11 year old son alain and there 2 year old alvin! the Lord answers prayers! i know that! ive been praying for families and they came! to churh! more news on them to come next week!
anyways, im just so blessed! the Lord has just been preparing me my whole mission and im just trying to serve him the best i can here! i love my mission! i love Martinique! I have such a strong testimony of this gospel and the Book of Mormong and Jesus Christ. Hope in Jesus Christ will help us conquer anything.

"The BOOK is true"

hey fam!!

change!!!!! Im with sœur Riley now! and its awesome!! firstly, monday night before sis eyre left, rose made us dinner and told us she'd help us find a new apartment. shes the best!! and shes so excited for her baptism!! then that night we had a fhe with a convert whos never had one, we acted out the good samaritan for her. she loved it! haha

so then sœur Riley got here!  shes been in guiane for about as long as ive been in Martinique but we started our missions at the same time in Guadeloupe. shes awesome!!!!! its been so fun with her! she is so diligent and dedicated and a greazt teacjer! she just got finished training 2 sisters (she was in a trio) so shes just like got this whole mission thing Under control! the Lord is just really helping us both magnify our calling and our skills!! its so wonderful! we both know how long weve got left and its ust fueling us to really find and teach the prepared people the Lord has for us right now!!

so our area is basically just like the whole South of Martinique so its just like, 'where do we even start!?' our time is so precious! but we've got some rocks and some members who we go get referrals from, so thats awesome. this sweet member brought her friend to Church this week whos like already reading the book of mormon so were stoked to start teaching him! also, rose is wonderful! she read the whole plan of salvation brochure and basically taught herself it when we came there to teach her it! a scorpion bite her saturday night so unfortunately she couldnt come to Church the next day! haha but the tuesday before she came with me and sœur eyre to teach one of her friends, shes already teaching with us! she is so prepared! shes not even baptized yet!!

Soeur Riley and I are just stoked to be master teachers and build the kingdom. i love love love being a missoinary. i love all these members so much! Frere occolier, that sweet family in vauclin, gave this AMAZING talk on sunday about the Book of Mormon and I was just so fueled! He was like' if this book isnt true, the missionaries lose their time!! but i will tell you without the littlest of doubt, that I know this book is true.' the book of mormon is so true! sometimes i read in the bible to see how Jésus would teach and how he was and i get confused and just am so grateful for the BOok of Mormon to help me understand evething! i love this Church! i love my family! and im grateful for the miracles to come with sœur Riley!!

by the way, i cant find my camera cord so... ill try and find that and send you pics next week!

love you all!

JETTING JOINTS FOR JESUS

Mommacita and family!!!
This week was the best week ever!!!! So first of all Soeur Eyre and I went on exhcanges in Guadeloupe!!  I sent some pictures of that!! so fun and so much learning happened, and a lot of travel which makes you a little tired, but you dont get to rest! You just go straight to work!! But its the work that I love!!!! or maybe, Soeur Eyre and I like to call it TEACHING. Teaching is so fun!!!!

So Guadeloupe first day was in Moule with the sisters. I was with Soeur Guernsey my old companion, second in Abymes, I was with soeur Dorsan my old companion, third in Goyave, back to my area!! I was with Soeur Vance one of Soeur Eyres old companions!!!  That was tuesday, wednesday then friday. Overall it was awesome!!! I learned a lot and just tried to help hasten the work with all these Soeurs! ! I figure Tressa and mom will profit from this paragraph, the most in wanting to know what I did this week.

But then we got back and we were really tired!! but we didnt stop! We had the greatest weekly planning session, where we just had all these amazing goals, and we just went out and preached to people!! This sunday at church I realzed that if I've done all i can to teach the doctrine clearly and invited my investigators to act, I"ve done my part. But some amazing things happened this week!! Wo we went to Rose saturday night with that awesome family the Occoliers, and we taught about the priesthood and Frere  Occolier gave her a priesthood blessing! She was so appreciative! That was the first time I had been there for a blessing for an investigator of mine and the spirit was so strong!! Even thought she was still sick she came to church again!  It was testimony meeting and someone bore their testimony about how grateful they were that the missionaries knocked on their door, and Rose looked at us and smiled!! After she said she wanted to bare her testimony about the priesthood blesssing she got! She was telling her awesome member friend (my temp 65 year old comp Soeur Saint Catherine) that she couldn't sleep all week, but the night after she got the blessing, she slept SO GOOD!! ROSE IS AMAZING!!!

Then sunday afternoon we were down in the bourg of Vauclin which is like the boardwalk kind of, so beautiful!! Anyways so we get out and I'm like Soeur Eyre lets go talk to this guy!! so we do! His name is Cristophe!! and hes 19 and I said 'Cristophe the Lord needs you to serve a mission!' so first of all, Soeur Occolier had told me that she has this vision of someone from Vauclin serving a mission!  Soeur Eyre and I have been looking for this someone!!!! anyways so we start talking to Cristophe, and he just like gets it! an honest seeker of truth!!!! He said 'what about all the people who aren't baptized by this authority?' I dont know that wasn't a good example of a question he had, but it was awesome! We showed him where the Occoliers lived and it started raining so we had to pull over and teach him some more, haha but it was just aweosme. SO PREPARED!!! This morning he sent us a text with some more questions he had! so great! Then after that we ran into this girl Melissa who was smoking, but we called her to repentance and she jetted it! jet in french mean throw. JETTING JOINTS FOR JESUS! thats what Soeur Eyre and I said.

Anyways this week was awesome. I love preach my gospel, its so right! I'm just trying to teach with power and authority and build the church here! We're looking for kingdom builders!! and the Lord will give them to us! This work is all hingent upon our faith!! I'm also looking for a less active family. I'm gonna find them and bring them back, I just know it!! anyways, this week was the best.

Love you all! Have a good week!!

"Happy New Years"

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

What a long crazy week!! First of all, we watched the movie "Frozen"! Then Soeur Eyre and I were just so excited for christmas and to see our families! So that was fun but a little distracting! haha but it wa good. however! Christmas eve we insituted a new tradition in Martinique!

Like I said last week, we had the genius idea to go caroling with our members. Well it ended up being the member family in Vauclin with their cute little baby Eve (sorry i forgot to take a picture) but it was so amazing! Well, first of all the Occoliers were like 'les soeurs, its christmas eve, everyone is at catholic mass,' so that was a little hard to see people. But we ended up seing their neighbors! and one guy definitely told us to go away he was watching tv haha it was just funny because caroling is just something that no one does on Martinique. They've only seen it on american shows! but then, we saw this family that we have never managed to talk to the parents, but we know that they are there, and Soeur Occolier was so ecstactic! We went back a couple days later and the lady, Natacha, she said  'i loved the singing so much i wanna hear your message i just have friends over right now!' So we're going back later this week :)  Then we went and caroled to brother Occoliers sister who has a twin sister on a mission! She's not a member though! and then she came to our ward christmas party! But ya anyways the fruits were so amazing! REAL GROWTH PEOPLE! I am owning my mission!

haha anyways, I'd like to fill you in on Rose!!!!!  She is our miracle that came to church a 2 weeks ago? I don't know how, we fasted and she came. Rose has been baptized 6 times, in 6 different churches! haha b\But she is still looking for her misson in life! So we finally got a hold of her (she works a lot, she's totally awesome and she's got it all together) and she had read SO MUCH! She was even spitting preach my gospel back to us! She was like 'when you read this book you better understand the bible!!' I was just amazed at how awesome she was, what a serious awesome investigator! and she was so sick but still came to church this sunday just for the first hour!! But anyways Soeur Occolier, the member, came with us to teach the first week and bore testimony about the book, and we told Soeur Occolier at the christmas party how rose is reading and loving it, and Soeur Occolier, the member she started crying she was so happy! She loves sharing the gospel so much and really wants a friend to be baptized!!

So this week was awesome! Christmas, family, Martinique! I LOVE MARTINIQUE! and I LOVE MY FAMILY!! Mission and family are 2 wonderful things. This church is so true and this work is so lead by God. I know He can perform mighty miracles according to our faith diligience and obedience! Happy New Year everyone! I"ll be on Guadeloupe!
